Seeking 1-2 evenings/week or occasional date night babysitting/mother's helper job in Lakeview East/Lincoln Park area only. Available most weekday evenings from 4:30 pm, occasional weekends, all-day availability on most school holidays.

I currently work with children in school, ages 3 and older, primarily in preschool classrooms as a physical therapist for children with disabilities and developmental delay. I have the typical school breaks off -- meaning I can work full-time during school vacation days. I have eleven years of nannying and babysitting experience, from four-month olds to eleven-year olds. I have several excellent references, a clear background check, and I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I value children's safety above all else. I love to be imaginative, do arts and crafts, play outside, and create a trusting and caring environment for children where they learn through play. I have a sincere interest in children's development and have taken child psychology and motor development classes in college and professional school. Spanish is my second language, and I can read books and converse in Spanish with your children if you wish.

I live in East Lakeview, and I have a car. I am looking for a wonderful family that lives nearby.

I am punctual, flexible, and I reply to emails and phone calls promptly. Usually, my babysitting employment involves more than childcare; I take care of pets, perform general housekeeping and tidying, do the children's laundry, and cook family dinners. In the past, I have taught CPR and First Aid classes, have been a resident advisor, and have been a lifeguard. I have both a bachelor and doctoral degree, and have had highly relevant professional experience in childcare.
