Hi there. A little about myself: I'm not the "pro session drummer available" who has a drum studio at home in LA for online session tracks. I am a real, in-the-flesh Detroit/metro drummer who can work with you to develop songs. I work menial, part-time jobs that allow me the flexibility to keep music going in my life while I scrape by. Sure I could complain, but making music is "my calling" if you will. When I see the way my friends' lives can be dominated by jobs or school, I'm grateful that it is still possible for me to practice every week with my bands and feel that feeling...connectivity, the zone. Money don't buy that feeling.
I have always enjoyed session drumming, but have devoted most of my non-working time to work with my own bands. Right now I'm trying to transition into making more music professionally.
Here's what I've got:
Feel - natural time, looser than tight, metronome friendly
Ear - fast learner, love improv, good ear for developing songs
Fusion - draw from many genres, specializing in funky/jazz/hip hop/rock/soul
Take direction - do you want a raucous Keith Moon style? Questlove tight?
Have transportation, great gear.

One thing I don't do is double-kick drum stuff. Righty is pretty capable, though.
