Aloha, me and my housemate share a 2 bedroom apartment near UH Manoa and KCC. We used to have another housemate that lived in the living room but he recently moved back home and so me and the remaining housemate are considering getting another housemate as the extra rent we have to pay now, although manageable, we'd rather not spend if we could have a nice chill arrangement like prior.

A little about us. We're two male young professionals (late 20s/early30s), both working full time, I recently returned to UH Manoa to change careers. The other person works a lot of overtime and I'm always working or studying so we're not around too much actually. We're not really partiers, we might go out once or twice a month but we both don't really have the time anymore. As far as hobbies, we both like to workout, I'm into hiking and going beach, the other person not so much.

Our preference would be for someone to take the living room and for us to keep the rooms, but I would be open to the idea of moving into the living room and giving up the room if we feel a prospective housemate is a really good fit. Being that it would be 3 people in a 2 bedroom, how well we would get along is very important since it'll be kinda close quarters. Both of us have weird hours that we're coming and going, like sometimes the other roommate gets off work at 5 in the afternoon, sometimes 3 in the morning. I'm always up to like 2-3 doing homework. So prospective roommates would have to be cool with that. We'd prefer someone in similar life situation, like young professional or working student. We're not particularly clean freaks, like the dishes always get done everyday but the floor gets swept/mopped and bathroom cleaned like once every few weeks. So probably don't want any crazy clean people, but no slobs. Share of internet is $20 a month and electricity is usually around $40. The prior living room housemate had a full size bed in the living room plus 2 big movable closets that acted as walls, it was exposed to the kitchen but if you wanted to come up with something creative you could probably do something like a curtain or moving japanese doors or whatever. If you have a motorcycle or moped you definitely will have a parking space, if you have a car then maybe (we both have stalls but we used to share it with the other housemate without too much issue).

Your name wouldn't be on the lease so you have the option of leaving at your discretion if if you're not liking the set up, just give us like a couple weeks advance notice. I most likely won't respond to any inquiries about this ad immediately, as mentioned prior we're hella busy and this isn't a super high priority, but if interested reply to the add and tell us about yourself a little bit. If we think you might be a good match we'll reply back. If after a couple back and forths we think we'll get along well we can set up looking at the place and a meeting in.
