long term sub needed, skilled labor (Pacific Northwest region)

Walk in Tub USA and FVSJ companies are a conglomerate out of the midwest based in Chicagoland Illinois. We are looking for a skilled multi-trade independent contractor to install ADA bathtub and shower units across Oregon, Washington and the pacific northwest. Jobs require no sales or marketing, installation only.

Typical jobs are 1-2 days, experience will reduce the install time.

The jobs are sent to the contractor with a scheduled install date. Freight is sent to contractors home or shop. Contractor contacts the customer 24-48 hours prior to the install date to introduce himself and confirm the scheduling. Contractor provides all necessary labor and materials to complete the job within a reasonable amount of time. Contractor has customer sign off on installation documents as well as collect final payment per signed contract.

Contractors responsibilities beyond this are to provide a pre-determined set of digital pictures throughout the job showing progress and installation processes. These pictures will be emailed to main office post installation. Contractor will create an invoice and attach it to the signed installation documents. These documents will be faxed and mailed to the main office within one weeks time, post installation.

The right candidate will have the following:
1. References that can verify workmanship and punctuality and dependability.
2. Liability and state required workman's compensation insurance.
3. A portfolio of work, showing the skills needed for installation of our fixtures.

Specific skills that the contractor must have include:
1. Neat and efficient demolition of bathtubs and wall surrounds.
2. The ability to measure and cut paneling and trim.
3. Knowledge of framing to determine if any improvements are needed to the subfloor or joists in the tub pocket.
4. Installation of bath and shower valves of varying styles and types.
5. Installation of tub and shower waste/drain assemblies.
6. Installation of two 20 amp dedicated GFI circuits to the bath area to power electronics on new bath tub. (or provide an independent electrician)
7. Removal and replacement of door frames and trim.
8. Neatly silicone seal all seams on new fixture.

Other duties the contractor must perform:
1. Load and deliver the fixtures the day of the installation.
2. Store the freight out of the weather in a secure location prior to the install date.
3. Contractor will possess all tools and materials necessary for the installation.
4. Contractor will haul away all debris from job site and dispose of.
5. All customers will be contacted post install for a satisfaction survey.

Workload is based on contractors abilities but could be as few as one job a week to as many as five.

Compensation will be predetermined and will be clearly written in a sub contractor agreement.
Base compensation will be set at $700.00 for the base installation plus and additional $300.00 for the electrical. Any additional work, IE toilets, vanities or other will be based on discussions prior to the job. Mileage and travel is set at $.30 per mile based on map-quest from your shop to the job and back. Materials will be reimbursed at 100% per job with an itemized list attached to your invoice. Permit fees or other job related expenses should also be attached to your invoices for reimbursement at 100%. Out of town travel stipends are $30.00 per day food, and $65.00 per night lodging, attach receipts to your invoices.

We are currently looking to set up 1-3 crews throughout the region. Contact us if this is something that

Representatives will be out prior to those dates to do meet with contractors, finalize sub-contractor agreements as well as to do on the job training for the first 1-2.
