Looking For Section 8 Approved 3 Bedroom (Indiana)
Hello. A little about me... I'm 31 & a single mother of a 14yr old son & 12yr old daughter. I hold a 3 bedroom Section 8 voucher.
If you don't know what Section 8 is: They help low income families pay their monthly rent. They pay a portion & we pay what they don't. Section 8 is a good way to keep a tenant dwelling in the property for a minimum of 2yrs. as Section 8's policy, we're not able to receive another voucher to move before then. It's also a guarantee of getting payment on time every month without problem. & it's not hard to accept. You would just need to fill out their paperwork & you &/or I could turn it in to the Section 8 office. Section 8 would then schedule an inspection of the property to make sure it's up to code. Then they would either approve to move in or not. If not, than they would tell you what needs done before it could be approved. There would also be a yearly inspection after that. Which only the tenant would need to be present for.
I've lived in my current home almost 4yrs now & my home prior I lived there 6yrs. My current home is a single family 3 bedroom 2 bath. But it's small (1 story) & I would absolutely love to be able to find a larger home. I really need the space & my children are getting older. I'm also looking for a better neighborhood than my current. I'm not really interested in half double homes though. but surprisingly would consider a townhouse/condo as long as it's large.
