Courthouse Information: The Palo Alto Courthouse generally hears cases originating in Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, Palo Alto, and Sunnyvale. The Hall of Justice (San Jose) generally hears cases originating in Campbell, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, San Jose, Santa Clara, and Saratoga. However, felony and misdemeanor drug offenses that ordinarily would be filed at the Hall of Justice may be heard at the Terraine Drug Court. The South County Courthouse (Morgan Hill) generally hears cases originating in Gilroy, Morgan Hill, and San Martin. Cases originating in unincorporated areas of the county are usually filed in the nearest courthouse. Effective November 24, 2014, all traffic matters are heard in the Santa Clara Courthouse on Homestead Road.
