Hi! I am Jon. I serve the local NYC area. I also offer online tutoring through Skype. With a degree in Philosophy and Mathematics from NYU, I developed a strong knack for logic and problem solving. In fact, I always loved riddles and brainteasers, and initially studied the LSAT for fun. That might sound strange, but while some do crossword puzzles to pass the time I review the LSAT. I was quickly able to score in the 99% range.

I started tutoring the LSAT for FREE, since I take great pride in my work, and wanted to hone my teaching ability. In fact, I helped one student from a 160 to a 173 recently. There are many teachers who are quite intelligent, but cannot explain the material well. I made sure to understand all aspects of the test, and be able to teach students from any starting point.

Strategies

My strategies are reliant on taking the practice tests, carefully noting the questions you got wrong and finding common errors to correct. My approach is custom tailored for each student, and is not a one fit program. In fact, I suggest students to study on their own for as long as possible. This is best for the student, since they get to know their strengths and weaknesses, and can pinpoint the trouble areas that they need to work on. I know law school and the application process can be costly, so I advise students to study on their own, and hire a tutor towards the end. Eventually many students find they hit a roadblock and can't progress any further. That is where I come in to take you to the next level.

It should be noted no one has ever took me up on this offer. There are no long term contracts, and you can pay after each lesson and can stop at anytime.
