I am a retired MD, BS in Chemistry and Mathematics with honors. I have taught undergraduate and graduate students one-on-one for over 25 years. I am a retired Assistant Professor at UCONN and Yale, and was awarded teacher-of-the-year a few years back.
I am currently teaching or I have taught:
MATH: General, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus through Multivariate and Vector Calculus.
CHEMISTRY: General/Intro, Inorganic and Organic for science majors.
BIOLOGY: General/survey, Anatomy and physiology, Biochemistry, Nursing Pharmacology.
I am trained and have taught test prep skills for: GED, GRE, GMAT, MCAT and NCLEX. Test prep is very different from tutoring in primary subject material. It assumes you have successfully passed the appropriate courses, and aims toward mastery of the subject material in preparation for the exam.
I prefer to meet in the college library or a local library as I feel this is the best setting to avoid distraction.
Rate: $40/hr. Discounts for multiple hours, multiple sessions, ongoing, or small groups.
