I am a retired person who refurbishes tractors as a hobby. I'm looking for a skilled individual to assist
me with small engine and mechanical work. This person will work flexible, part-time on a contract basis
performing 4-cycle small engine and basic mechanical repairs on outdoor power equipment. The ideal
candidate has experience: working on power equipment, diagnosing engine and mechanical issues, com-
pleting repairs, using illustrated parts lists and assembly diagrams, and detailing (including prepping and
refinishing metal surfaces). There is opportunity for training in some of these areas. The applicant must
be able to take direction and communicate effectively in English.
He or she should have his or her own tools and be familiar with power tools, compressor-operated tools,
and safety. A talented high school or trade school graduate, a skilled 'back-yard' mechanic, or an auto
mechanic seeking part-time work might make a good fit.
