This morning (Dec 2, 2017) Trump tweeted he fired Flynn because he lied to the FBI.
After firing Flynn for lying to the FBI Trump asked Comey to drop the Flynn investigation "Because he is a good man".
Then when Comey didn't drop the investigation, Trump fired Comey.
That folks is obstruction of justice. Highly illegal and an impeachable offense as well as an offense that could result in jail.
