MTB instruction for ages 5

18 USD

Omaha "DEVO" (short for development) is a non-profit partnership between Live Well Omaha and local volunteers, who are dedicated to introducing, teaching, and developing kids ages 5-18 in the lifelong sport of mountain biking. Omaha DEVO coaches receive American Red Cross First Aid & CPR training as well as receive criminal background checks, which are conducted by the Sarpy County Sheriff's Department. Omaha DEVO is a fully insured program, which operates under Activate Omaha for 501c3 (non- profit) status. DEVO has an advisory board consisting of fourteen members.

Curriculum
DEVO is arranged in a building block style that allows kids to learn the skills they need and gain confidence on their bikes in a positive, encouraging environment. We have a talented group of experienced mountain bike riders graciously donating their time to coach our youth. Omaha DEVO coaching staff offers a diverse cycling background ranging from the 'weekend- warrior' to the 'elite' competitive cyclist. The DEVO coaches will also be coordinating optional youth races at some of venues of the Psycowpath Mountain Bike Race Series. Some of our more advanced riders may also be chosen to ride with a select group that will tackle some additional, more challenging trails.
