What's wrong with doing MANY THINGS and doing them very well. Just because you can't, that doesn't mean no one else can. Your "logic" indicates you assume other people are as limited in their abilities to learn as you are. Realityjust because you are single-minded and can only do one thing, that doesn't mean that other people have your limitations nor does that give you the right to make them revolve around your limitations.

One very obvious point is there is nothing in your argument that wouldn't apply even more to part timers with day jobs. What you are saying is that musicians shouldn't have day jobs. Youe logic is that if you play for a band that only wants to gig 2 or 3 times a month, you shouldn't be allowed to do anything else except wait for your beck and call for the rest of the month?

I know that sounds nice and convenient but in the real world, that isn't realistic. RealityThat is why REAL musicians NETWORK. We don't just marry a band especially if someone like you is in it. We play in different situations and meet different players and prove ourselves to each other and then we refer each other for future gigs and leave you to go back to CL 24/7. If you cannot earn respect, then expect to be rejected a lot.

I agree with those who say the real issue is about who do you want to include in your circle of contacts; people who can earn respect or people who are compulsive about control. It is better to know ahead of time if someone is going to waste your time. RealityAds sounding more like venting their issues are big red flags. Posts that sound bitter about previous players are best to avoid. Posts that find twisted ways to insult people they are trying to attract should always be.
