Nanny looking for Full time position ASAP (West Hartford)
My name is Jessica, I'm 31 years old and living in West Hartford.
I'm looking for full time as well as long term and available to start ASAP. I'm also looking for occasional weekends
I attended and graduated from Southern CT State University in New Haven this past May 2014.
I started working with twin girls when they were 2 weeks old and I was with them for 3.5 years until they started pre school.
I then started with another set of twin girls 50hrs a week since they were 2 months old and they turned 3 this past August of 2014. The father gave his 2 weeks notice at his job back in Jan 2014 and wanted to be a stay at home dad with the girls before they start preschool this past Fall since the girls have been growing up so quickly and he feels that he has been missing out on it.
So they gave me my 3 weeks notice and my last day with them sadly was Jan 31st.
I had a very hard time leaving this family since I've been with them for 2 1/2 years and they hated to let me go.They have included me for holidays and the girls birthdays so I have become a big part of the family, which I love being in. I'm glad I can stop by and see the girls whenever I would like too and they will use me still for occasional nights when the parents need a date night.
I have a lot of newborn, infant and toddler experience.
I have excellent references. I have been CPR/first aid certified
I have a reliable car and have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. I do a lot of occasional babysitting with families as well.
I fell in love with this profession when my mother opened up a home daycare for 9 years when I was in Elementary school. I enjoy reading books, coloring, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, music, love the outdoors, teaching children their ABCs, 123s, shapes, colors, building with blocks, puzzles, I can teach a bit of Spanish, love taking children on walks, libraries, playgrounds and lots more.
I don't mind picking up toys. doing laundry, washing dishes, preparing meals and light housekeeping.
I have 2 cats, and love animals. I'm very caring, passionate, loving, nurturing, outgoing, fun, positive and happy person who loves to smile.
