Nanny looking for Full time position ASAP (West Hartford)
Hello, My name is Jessica, I'm 32 years old and living in West Hartford.
I'm looking for full time as well as a long term position. I am available to start ASAP also looking for occasional weekends
I attended and graduated from Southern CT State University in New Haven in May of 2014.
I started working with twin girls when they were 2 weeks old and I was with them for 3.5 years until they started pre school.
I then started with another set of twin girls 50hrs a week since they were 2 months old and they Will be turning 4 this August 2015. The father gave his 2 weeks notice at his job back in Jan 2014 and wanted to be a stay at home dad before they started preschool this past Fall. The girls have been growing up so quickly and he felt that he had been missing out.
So they gave me my 3 weeks notice and my last day with them sadly was Jan 31st. 2014
I had a very hard time leaving this family since I've been with them for 2 1/2 years and they hated to let me go.
I've been working a lot of occasional temporary and part time job since then and trying to find work whenever I can since this is my only source of income. I've been trying to find a wonderful family to be a part of again as well as the right family. I would like to commit to and I'm looking for full-time as well as long term.
I have a lot of newborn, infant, toddler and school aged children experience.
I have excellent references and I have been CPR/first aid certified
I have a reliable car and have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. I do a lot of occasional babysitting as well with families
I fell in love with this profession when my mother opened up a home daycare for 9 years when I was in Elementary school.
I also interned and volunteered at a elementary school in the New Haven County district as a teachers assistant for several months and loved every moment of it. One day I would love to open up my own daycare and I'm also interested in possibly being a pediatrician or a social worker. Right now I love being a nanny though and taking care of children.
I enjoy reading books, coloring, arts and crafts, singing, music, love the outdoors, teaching children their ABCs, 123s, shapes, colors, building with blocks, puzzles, singing, arts & crafts, dancing, being outside, staying active, creative with imaginary play. I can teach a bit of Spanish, I love taking children on walks and lots more.
I don't mind picking up toys. doing laundry, washing dishes, preparing meals and light housekeeping.
I have 2 cats, and love animals so if you have pets, that's not a problem. I'm very caring, passionate, loving, organized, clean, nurturing, outgoing, fun, positive and happy person who loves to smile and who loves children
