Show Roles:
• GRAVEYARD GROOVE (musical revue):
• Douglas Howler - Gravedigger, the keeper of the crypts and weathered henchman to Mayor Slayer. An emcee personality, strong singer and mover (able to partner). Male Bari-tenor.
• Wolf Jackman- animalistic graveyard guard dog. Male Baritone. Rocker type.
• Fred Ascare- Frankenstein'd Zombie. A dapper lady's man who keeps falling apart. Male Bari-tenor Strong dancer.
• Bella LaGhosti- Vampiress. Blood sucking seductress. Female Alto-mezzo. Able to belt.
• Cleo Fearline- Egyptian mummy queen, bandage covered decayed royalty. Female Mezzo.
• All roles require strong comedic acting and dance ability. Must have endurance to perform up to five 30-min shows per day, 3 days per week on an outdoor stage.
• Males- please prepare a verse and chorus from "Pompeii" by Bastille and "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince to sing acapella in the character(s) you are auditioning for.
• Females-please prepare a verse and chorus from "Shadows of the Night" by Pat Benatar and "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry to sing acapella in the character(s) you are auditioning for.
• For All- Sides will be provided. Be ready to learn short dance combination.
• THE AWAKENING & STREETMOSPHERE:
• Mayor Slayer- the ambassador of FrightFest. Male. Tall, slender, sophisticated. Strong dancer. Strong speaking voice. Singing not necessary, but a plus. Must be quick witted and able to interact with guests of all ages throughout the night.
• Demona- female assistant to Mayor Slayer. Strong dancer. Able to interact with guests of all ages throughout the night.
• Please be ready to learn short dance combination at the audition. Sides will be provided.
• VERDICT OF SORCERY / MORT'S USED COFFINS / SHOWDOWN IN TOMBSTONE TERRORTORY ACTING ROLES INCLUDE:
• Mort- used coffin salesman. Morbid and maniacle male comic actor. High energy. Able to learn detailed script and be very quick witted with heavy audience participation.
• Abigale Dickenson/ Deputy Garp Jitters- Strong actress who can play an accused witch in one short dramatic vignette and then a comical sidekick in another short show during the same day. Must be over 18 years old and comfortable with performing guillotine illusion.
• Male Roles: Strong actors who can play both comedic and dramatic roles. Barney Bandit must be over 18 years old and comfortable performing hanging noose illusion. All roles must be comfortable handling stage prop firearms.
o Executioner, Puritan colony
o Jed Bartlebee, Puritan town crier;
o Judge Greystone, Puritan colony judge
o Sheriff Wayne, western lawman
o Barney & Benny Bandit, western outlaws, ghostly brothers out for revenge
• Sides will be provided at the audition. Dance call is not necessary for these roles; however a short character movement exercise may be conducted.
Also seeking Makeup Artists (airbrush preferred) and 150+ Haunted House Zombie Actors!
AUDITION TIPS & INFO
• Must be at least 16 years old to apply. Some roles require 18+.
• All performers should dress comfortably and ready to move.
• All performers will also be asked to read from a pre-written script.
• Singers must prepare a verse and chorus of 1 up-tempo and 1 ballad pop/contemporary song to sing a cappella. Singers must also have good to strong dance/movement and acting abilities.
• Singers and Dancers will learn a short combination from our choreographer.
• Tech & Make-up artist applicants should bring resume and/or portfolio.
• Airbrush experience preferred for make-up artists.
• MUST be outgoing, enthusiastic, team focused, and able to interact closely with guests.
• Must have reliable transportation and flexible schedule.
• Must be available for training and work weekends in September & October.
• Six Flags supports and enforces a drug free working environment.
Lots of fun and great part time jobs for college students and others seeking temp and seasonal fall positions.
Fright Fest runs weekends from September 26 through November 1st.
