I have a colleague whose son is graduating from high school on Monday. His son has not seen his father in five years since his father lives on the West coast and his mother (whom he lives with) is on the East coast. He wants to be there for his son on this once in a lifetime special event. His son is graduating number one in his class.

We are all paid by commission so we are not paid on a regular schedule/pay cycle. I'd like to help him get a loan to cover the expense of getting there (and back home) for his son's graduation. The total expenses we figured came to $3500 unless someone has frequently flyer miles, free or discount hotel/car credits he could use.

I will sign whatever necessary paperwork for the loan but I do NOT want someone contacting me from outside the USA or that requires some "loan fee, etc" upfront. Any fair interest rate will be paid. This is a legitimate request and I will report any scammers.

Please understand we have checked other options to assist our colleague. Before you suggest using our credits cards (we don't have any) Pay Day loans, etc., these are not options available to us or are willing to use.
