Are you looking to adopt a rat or two? If so, please consider adopting from Mainely Rat Rescue. They have many wonderful rats to choose from of all ages and they adopt out to homes through out New England. The adoption fees are very fair and they even offer low cost spay and nueters for rats in custody. At times they also have guinea pigs, ferrets, gerbils, degus and hamsters looking for their forever homes as well. Please check out their wonderful promos which change from month to month.

Can't adopt? Maybe you would consider becoming a foster parent for a few or more rats or other pets in need until they can find their forever home. Foster homes are ALWAYS needed. I have been fostering for a few years and it is very rewarding to see how many animals have been helped.

If you can not help in the above ways maybe you could visit the rescue store and get a hammock or two for your current fur kids. They offer all different sizes, fabrics and designs so even a ferret could enjoy them. All are handmade, excellent quality and a great price. They also have food and other fun items. All proceeds go directly back into the rescue to help with the care of the animals which is costly but worth it.

Don't need any hammocks? Maybe you would consider sponsoring a furry friend until they are adopted. This will help pay for any care while they are in rescue. You could even sponsor a low cost spay or neuter which often gives them a better chance at finding a forever home. Just spreading the word about the rescue like I am is a big help. Any help or donation is greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible. No donation is too small. Remember the seemingly small things, when combined, always add up to something big.
