Piano instructor seeking intermediate or advanced students (West Seattle)

After a nearly twenty-year hiatus from teaching piano I feel called to it again. I am a pianist (accompanist and other collaborative keyboard work) and choral conductor by profession. Please check out the web page mentioned below to see more on my education and experience. After teaching several students from my home studio for a long time other music work diverted my attention. For some time now I have been thinking about again finding some students who really want to work at developing their talents and abilities. I have been well-trained both in college (B.M. Piano Performance at the Florida State University) and in real life, especially with experience as an accompanist for both singers and instrumentalists. I have a lot to offer a student, in a patient and supportive manner.

I am interested in your progress, an endeavor that requires a balanced mix of optimism and realism.
Life has taught me this, and I wish to pay it forward.

If you are interested, please contact me. We'll set up a face to face interview where we can discuss your situation and you goals. After that we will have a free trial lesson where you can decide whether we can move forward in a teacher-student relationship.

My rates are reasonable and negotiable. My preference is to teach out of my home in West Seattle. My time for this is limited to weekday/daytime hours and as I stated in the title of this ad, I am interested in students of intermediate and advanced levels, although all potential students will be considered.

Thanks,

Chris
