QR Code Link to This Post If you find a stray pet, cat or dog, it could very well belong to someones missing it dearly. Please try hard to find the owner . How would you feel if someone found your pet and refused to give it back, see if it had a microchip, post that you found? Many of our pets are true family members, our children, and our homes are not complete when they are gone. Please do the right thing and give them back. Many are in need of medicine every day, their lives depend on it and they could get sick and die if not returned. It could be microchipped and if you can take that pet to any vet and have it scanned, there is no charge for this, just takes a little doing on your part. If micro chip info shows up that pet could very well be returned to its owner. In Sterling Heights you should call animal control and, I believe, they have a listing of lost dogs and cats that people can look at. Check craigslist sites every day and if you can actually go to any of your shelters, do that. Go on the facebook site 'For the Love of Louie" that site gets alot of exposure. If you lost your pet, put up signs around your neighborhood with Lost Cat/Dog and your phone number. As far as cats go, throughout the years if there was ever a stray around my house, it would show up early on my porch before sunrise and after sundown. If it is an indoor cat, probably scared to come out during the day and hide. Go out at night and talk (call) your cat, maybe shake a can with dry cat food in it. Search the internet for "how to find my lost cat" or "how to find my lost dog." Many great ideas there for you. Also when your pets come home to you please remove your lost pet post. Hope all your pets come home soon and safe to.
