Our company is seeking a full-time experienced editor to oversee content production. Our company is the state's most widely read and recognized magazine. This position is responsible to coordinate all of the content and themes of the publication, coordinate editorial and photography assignments, oversee design and layout, and assist in media placement and related promotional strategies to advance readership and awareness of the publication. This position will also be responsible to develop and execute a strategy to successfully promote the publications and the brands statewide. This person will be adept at social media promotions, website marketing, and be comfortable meeting corporate contacts. The successful applicant will have experience providing direction to freelancers in the production of print publications and digital content products, experience working on public relations or marketing campaigns, and knowledge of US geography and history. They will have experience working within a team environment that includes graphic designers, web designers, and sales resources. They also must have demonstrated the ability to meet production deadlines and project financial goals in terms of expense and revenue generation. Travel is required within the state, including rural areas, to meet potential story subjects, content developers, and advertisers. The position also includes oversight of the monthly Corridor arts and entertainment publication. The publication highlights events in the US area such as concerts, performing arts productions, artist profiles, features on local bands, and fine-arts showings. The successful applicant will work with freelance writers and photographers to gather unique content for the publication.
