Professional Math Tutor. First half hour is a risk free, trial run. (Saint Charles)

Are you tired of getting charged outrageous prices for subpar tutoring from Tutor Recruiting Companies? These companies recruit families to pay for tutoring that they just contract out. They just connect you to a random tutor and take a hefty commission for their brief involvement. This will have you paying over $40/hour for a tutor while the tutor barely receives half of that. My goal is to build up my own student base so I can charge a more fair rate. So lets start with a little introduction.

Hi, my name is Brad Onder. I am an experienced Math Tutor of 7 years. I have tutored at the ACE Center for St. Charles Community College and for professional companies. I have tutored all types of students ranging from elementary school all the way thru college. I tutor all math including elementary math, Pre-Algebra, Alegebra 1&2/College Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, AP Calculus/Calculus & Analytic Geometry 1 and I even will tutor Physics as well. In college, I majored in Mathematics and Computer Science. I took Calculus-based Physics 1 & 2, Calculus and Analytic Geometry 1, 2, & 3 and Linear Algebra...I received an A in every course and I can show you my College transcript to prove it. I can even give you the number to my boss at the ACE Center in case you would like to know how good I am from her, but the best way I know to showcase my talents is to give it a trial run...For new customers, I will be offering a 30 minute trial run to start the first session. If by the end of the first 30 minutes, you feel that it will not work out, we will part ways at no charge. However, since I have never had a family that didn't absolutely love me as a tutor, I doubt it will come to that, but feel free to exercise that right if you feel the need, I will not be offended. The thing that makes me such a great tutor is that I can remember how it was to learn this material. I remember the thought process I had to go through to gain the understanding and I am very proficient at delivering that understanding in a multitude of ways. Since every student learns a little differently, I know that having many different approaches to the same problem is key in delivering that understanding. To do well in math, it is important to understand the concepts because once you understand the concepts, it doesn't feel like you have to remember anything. Sometimes the thing keeping you from understanding something that seems complicated is a misunderstanding of something simple. I am an expert at finding that simple concept and correcting the understanding of it. However, if you are in a tight window and don't have time for understanding, I can teach you the tricks and shortcuts to survive the test with a good grade as well, as long as you understand that it is a quick fix and is not a recommended approach if you are trying to become independent in the future. My goal for all my students is to not only get them an A in the class, but to make them able to get an A on their own, without the future need of a math tutor. I am not your typical math geek as I am a very likable person as well. People naturally gravitate towards me so this will not be just a boring math session. Even if you absolutely hate math, I am very confident you will enjoy the session as most of my students look forward to them. I am very good at relating to my students and making the experience something they enjoy. I think this is important since everyone learns better when the experience is engaging and interesting, and since I like interacting with all sorts of people, it is more enjoyable for me to tutor when my student is interested. I take this as my responsibility and it will be hard for you to not enjoy our sessions. I have an infinite amount of patience so feel free to ask any question, in fact, I encourage it. I believe the only stupid question is the one that never got asked. We all have misunderstood things, and I feel that if you can ask questions, even if you don't understand them, it helps me to quickly identify where you are needing help.

Now for the part that isn't so much fun, payment. I charge on two different scales, depending on whether I go to your home (or if we meet somewhere), or you come to mine. In both cases, I charge a flat rate of $20/hour but if it requires that I travel, then it is $30 for the first hour and $20/hour after that. However, if you are really close by, I may drop that down to $25 for the first hour, but if you are really far away, I may have to charge a little more for the first hour in order to cover gas and drive time. I live in Saint Charles, MO right off of Highway 70 at the Cave Springs/Harry S Truman exit. If you have any further questions, feel free to give me a call at and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have before we set an.
