For that kind of money they ought to be AKC registered instead of back yard breeder registration of ABR which registers anything on four legs. But then again back yard breeders are not known for any significant level of intelligence, But they are known for worshiping the almighty dollar. Lets put this into perspective. If you needed emergency surgery and your family only had $1700 to either pay for the surgery or buy a dog, would you tell them to buy the dog? That shows how much of an idiot you.
