Rehoming is for A dog

Puppies do not make great Christmas presents. They're a lifetime commitment and if you haven't noticed, there's plenty of people on here who turn around selling their puppy a week after they get them. "We don't have time, my kids don't like it, my other dog won't tolerate it, it takes too much time, they have to move to a place where they can't have them."

A small rehoming fee is not $300. Trying to pawn off a 2 year old dog that isn't fixed, not registered, isn't socalized, has no shots, and isn't potty trained for $300? Not going to happen.
Those are the people who shouldn't have gotten a Christmas puppy last year! If your dog is not socalized with children or other pets, you should take it to the pound and let a professional decide whether or not it should be someone else's liability.

I encourage everyone who is looking for a dog to visit the shelters. Adopt. They come fixed, with shots and microchipped. The staff has some idea of their tempermant and socialization level. A puppy is only cute until it ruins your carpet, chews all your things up, or you step in a cold pile of pee or poop in the middle of the night. Don't let the cuteness blind you. Unless you are wanting another baby, don't get a puppy.
