I'm a guitarist and songwriter with about 30-40 ideas, most of them complete. I would describe my taste and style as alternative rock. If I had to peg my sound, I would say it sounds like lenny kravitz meets tame impala with a little soundgarden and Neil young. I write very accessible, emotive chord progressions and riffs. I want to be the Malcolm Young of a project: the rhythm guitarist who provides the skeleton of the songs. I also sing a little bit too. However, I seem to only be able to sing when the rhythm is right for the way I sing. So if you're a singer, great. I could use one lol.
My favorite guitarists: Jimmy Page, Adam Jones, Dan Auerbach, Matt Bellamy, Kim Thayil, Tom Morello, Mike Einziger
My favorite bands: Led Zeppelin, Tool, Soundgarden, Muse, My Morning Jacket, The Arcs, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Thievery Corporation, Pink Floyd, Justice, Ray LaMontage
My background: I'm 30, grew un in LA, went to law school and am practicing law. I would gladly leave it behind to make my passion and my dream come true. I don't want to be a "rockstar", I just want to be who I really am.
My intentions: I know a couple of very prominent music industry attorneys and my best friend's dad is a legendary music producer. This means I have access, which is key today. However, that's all beside the point because I don't have anything that I really believe in yet to present to them. Thats why I'm on here looking for like minded individuals.
So: if you like the way this sounds, please send me links to examples of your playing or singing. I would ideally like to find a bassist or keys player who sings and a drummer. However, i'm super open minded. If you make beats but love alternative rock, we might be able to make that work.
I have recordings of a few of my songs that I can email to you. Just ask.
