Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced SAS Administrator as an addition to our elite SAS Consulting Team for one of our Clients - a large Health Insurance company, located in Hartford, CT for a 6 month contract, full-time, with a blended model of on-site/remote. The assignment may be performed mostly from a remote location. The Candidate must be onsite for onboarding and ramp-up for the first two weeks. Then the Client is seeking candidates who would be willing to become their employee at the end of the contract.
DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Candidate will administer SAS software on numerous platforms with the intent of keeping the platform accessible and state-of-the-art for the organization's end users.
The Candidate must have senior level experience administering a multiple tier environment with DEV/TEST/PROD migration. The Client has licenses for several SAS products and solutions and will be looking to acquire additional SAS technologies in the future.
QUALIFICATIONS -- ESSENTIAL
• 7-10 years of experience overall, supporting and implementing SAS BI and analytics software suites.
• 3 --5 years of experience administering SAS solutions in multiple machine, multiple tiered environment.
• Experience installing and configuring SAS software, implementing hotfixes, and software patches.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting SAS services.
• Experience with SAS Management Console -- adding identities, defining libraries, setting permissions and access controls, creating metadata folder structures.
• Experience integrating SAS solutions with security including PAM and LDAP/Active Directory.
• Competence in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge and Administration implementation experience with core SAS software, including:
• Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/ACCESS
• Enterprise Miner, Model Manager, SAS Decision Manager
• DI Server, Data Integration Studio, Business Rules Manager
• BI Server
• SAS Visual Analytics (non-distributed), SAS Visual Statistics
• SAS Episode Analytics
• Familiarity with setting up connections to Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop, Impala, Microsoft SQL Server, and Postgres.
• Experience administering SAS within AIX, Linux and Windows OS environments
• Experience with Shell and UNIX scripting.
• 5 years of experience working with Linux and scripting.
QUALIFICATIONS -- PREFERRED
• Experience in the Health Insurance Industry.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Experience administering SAS Grid is a plus.
• Experience supporting SAS in a z/OS environment is a plus.
• Experience with SAS Scoring Accelerator for Hadoop and Teradata a plus.
