I've already published my novel on Amazon. As I was writing I thought of the story as if it were a movie. Now I'd like to take it to the next step and produce a screenplay.
If you have some experience writing screenplays (students are welcome) and have a good imagination then I'd like to talk to you.
I call the genre of my story "Adult Science Fiction." (Yes, there is sex in the story but I would expect the movie to only be R rated.) Some people might think that the story is about "vampires" but definitely not in the usual sense: There is no magic, no bats, and no immortality. What there is, is a family that has evolved into a sub-species that requires human blood and they currently live in Las Vegas.
As a pre-cursor to the full screenplay I would like to produce a 3-minute video that might run under the credits at the beginning of the film. Imagine a van driving up the Las Vegas Strip with the music of Bobby Darin's "Mac the Knife" playing in the background. Without giving away too much, let me say that the lyrics absolutely align perfectly with the story.
About me - I actually have a Bachelor's degree in Theater and worked as a professional stagehand many years ago. When not writing fiction and/or plays, I am a corporate trainer/technical writer.
