It sure is hard finding apartment situations who are dog friendly, despite the fact that mine is very well trained; never ever barks unless commanded to; house trained; heel trained; and has ZERO aggression issues. He's a 4 year old solid black german shepherd and if you like dogs, you'd love him. He was well on his way to being service dog material when the skin allergy kicked in, so now he spends a little more time in "The Cone" than either of us would like. He does not claw at doors, and he does not jump up on people. No bullshit when I say he is a good dog. I have a kennel for him and you'll hardly even notice he's there. When I'm not home, he sits quietly waiting for me, and like I said, he won't bark, even if he's home alone and someone pounds on the door or rings the bell. I trained him not to because we were living in a busy condo and no one likes hearing a dog yapping all day.
