SEEKING BASSIST for PT weekend working band (Phoenix) hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post Looking to find a replacement for our bassist. We are a 5 piece band, in our 40-60 age range, female singer, guitar, drums, keys and bass. We are playing 2-4 times per month right now and hoping to find a good fit for our band. The current bassist is just getting a bit tired of lugging stuff around and wants to just relax with family. He is hanging with us for as long as it takes to find someone, within reason. No big rush but if we find that fit, then he is stepping out.

We play a mixture of classic rock, blues, some country, R&B and basically a little of everything. The key to a new bassist is twofold. One, needs to be a decent bassist, able to hold down the bottom end in different styles. Two, and this is where we are having trouble finding someone, is that we have very good harmony and need someone that has a good ear and blends well with everyone, and also able to sing lead on 6-10 songs a night. We had some good auditions previously but we have come to realize that that extra voice singing some lead once in a while, as our current bassist does, is what we would hope to find.

We are not diva's or virtuoso's but we play for the enjoyment and we do sound good and the songs are very tight. A real decent group of people. This isn't something for someone looking to make a living at it. Enjoy the people you play with, have some fun getting out and watching the crowd enjoy the music, and basically enjoy just making music.

If you would like to know more, I would love to talk more with you. Thanks for your time in reading.
