For fun I create Renaissance Faire costumes for myself repurposed from items found at the charity thrift shops that I repurpose such as linens and bedding and interior design swatch books and fashion sample cuts. Yesterday a duvet cover, tomorrow Tudor middleclass street clothes.
I even repurpose little used bed linens and comforter covers found at the charity thrift shops to make new duvet covers making the best out of what remains from a set so that the new item cannot be mistaken for a flat sheet or new pillow cases from fitted sheets. If you have mending or hemming that is no problem. If your button holes need reinforcement.
