The Department of Psychology at Saint Louis University is seeking healthy volunteers for a research study entitled, "Empathy & Interoceptive Awareness" (SLU IRB # 24646). Men and women, between the ages of 18-90, with no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders are invited to participate. You will be asked to provide a cheek swab, perform a task in which you count your own heartbeats, and fill out a few questionnaires. The study will also involve measurements of your height, weight, and heart rate. The study requires 1 visit on 1 day for less than one hour, and you will receive $15 in compensation.
