I rescued a young female mixed breed last month and she is now ready to find her forever home. I have contacted 5 local rescue groups but heard nothing back. I do NOT want her to go to a shelter to potentially be killed. She's just too sweet and special. If I didn't work FT and live in an apartment I'd love to keep her, but I'm gone 10 hours a day and she's alone in the kitchen. I'd rather hold onto her till she can find a good home. I'm not sure we're the best for her but we're better than the street or the needle.

This dog is beautiful and sweet, but shy. She's submissive and smart but has some anxiety and fearfulness that would make me think older kids or no kids might be best for her. Shes done okay with my 5-year-old but mainly bc my daughter respects her space and I supervise them. The dog is around 25lbs but could still stand to gain a few more. She's mostly house trained, however, since I'm gone for so long on workdays she does pee on the kitchen floor. If she were with someone who can let her out sooner (or with a yard for her to be in), I doubt you'd have any trouble. She's med- to long hair and does shed a little. I'm guessing she's around a year old. She has all her adult teeth but she still play bites, jumps, and chews like a puppy. She has med energy level. She does not bark much but she growls when she hears strangers outside and she whines when she's nervous or needs to potty.

I've given her a flea bath, collar & pill, I have a de-wormer to give her, and a wire crate, 30lb bag of food, bowls, toys, and a "Thunder coat" that she wears out in public that REALLY helps her anxiety. If you want all of these things with her I'm asking for a $100 re-home fee. If you don't want any of the stuff I'll let her go to a good home for $30. Please contact me if you're interested.
