We are a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue group who rescues animals from overcrowded high-kill animal shelters. All animals are fully vetted, vaccinated and spayed/neutered before adoption. Our rescue animals stay in foster homes while they await adoption.

Please meet Poppy! Poppy is an adorable female Chihuahua mix. She is approx. two years old and she weighs approx. 15 pounds. Poppy is spayed, vaccinated, vetted and all records will be transferred to her new owner. Poppy is the ideal family dog! She is a perfect little mixture of spunk and love! Poppy is a very outgoing, social girl. She will go up to anyone and everyone to say hello with a big tail wag. She is equally affectionate and is very generous with her affections! (Doggie kisses galore!) One of her best qualities is how much of a lover she really is. She has a huge heart and she loves to be loved. She is super sweet, loyal and completely adorable! She lights up when someone calls for her and she will come flying over to you when called! Poppy has an unforgettable smile, which you can see in her pictures here. Poppy is very playful and she adores her doggie toys. She would enjoy having children around to play with her, as she'll make a wonderful family dog, especially if the kids like to play with her! Poppy is active and playful, but also a bit of a cuddlebug. She might snuggle with you in your lap, by your side, or at your feet. Poppy has a medium energy level with bits of active playtime. She also enjoys her beauty sleep and rests peacefully while napping in her doggie bed. She enjoys the company of her family members, but can also be a bit independent from time to time. She is well behaved and a total sweetheart. We think she is housetrained, but will find out for sure later on. A few words to describe Poppy are warmhearted, kind, playful, happy, attentive, smart, friendly, well-adjusted, joyful and amazing! Just like with any dog in a new home environment, Poppy will need some training from her future family and an adjustment period, but we think she'll catch on quickly.
