Solid Drummer Lking For the Right Cover Band (Northern Ohio)
Greetings,
I am an experienced drummer looking for the right Cover band that is playing out, close to playing out, or possibly the right start up band. I reside in Painesville Twp., am 45, and have been playing forever. I am a fast learner, large repertoire of songs, good dynamics, (can play loud and soft all within the same song! I know, rare for a drummer, right? LOL) I have solid meter, don't overplay the songs, (not compelled to play double bass in every song that never had had it to begin with,) not real flashy, and ok not being the center of attention. I am pretty easy to work with, not a total flake, no ego problems, no drama, no drugs (except maybe an occasional Viagra,) full time employment, supportive wife, no baggage, great sense of humor, and no worries. I have plenty of stage experience, and have pro equipment including top shelf acoustic drums and the latest V-Drums, (electronic kit) which can really open up the musicality of the songs we can play. I have a good work ethic, and practice on my own time, and rehearse, and refine parts when we get together for a "practice."
Ideally, I am looking for an established Rock / Pop / Dance Band, or Variety type band. Not interested in playing in Metal bands, Punk bands, Blues bands, extremely Jurassic classic rock bands, or Original bands. I like and respect those genres, and am willing to play some selections from each type in a variety setting, but not something I want to play all night. I would like to play out several times per month, HAVE FUN, make some new friends, and Make some Money.
If needed, I have rehearsal space at my home in Painesville Twp, and a full P.A. system for practice or playing out.
IMPORTANT: EVEN THOUGH I AM FROM THE EAST SIDE, I AM WILLING TO TRAVEL UP TO AN HOUR FOR REHEARSALS, FOR THE RIGHT SITUATION. EVEN FURTHER FOR GOOD PAYING SHOWS.
