South City Dive bar needs acoustic acts (Kickers Corner)
Attention local STL Musicians and Music Lovers!
There's a new open mic/open jam night in town!
Kicker's Corner is a classic dive bar south city. Kicker's Corner is a long standing staple of the small neighborhood bars/restaurants of the Carondelet Park area located right on South Broadway.
At Kickers Corner, this family owned and operated establishment takes a great deal of pride in their bar, the patrons, the local community, our full service menu and the owners and small friendly and experienced staff work hard to consistently provide you with an experience all its own. We never fail to bring great people, great service, good times coupled with ridiculously low prices& daily specials on food and booze. We are always on a first name/nickname basis with any and all customers and we are excited to bring a new spin on live local music.
Here's the rundown: "Dip 'N' Jam"
Our first month of music went above and beyond any expectations we had, so we are so excited to invite in new musicians and new friends!
We are having these music nights on the third Sunday of every month, music starts no later than 7pm and the bar closes at midnight.
We call this "Dip 'n' Jam" because:
There's a free taco, appetizer, and dip bar put out for anyone who's hungry!
All musicians receive a few free drinks.
Musicians should know this has very open, intimate, laid back and personable feel. Right now we are doing this completely stripped down, No equipment necessary(the last few times all the musicians we had were acoustic acts, standup bassists, and hand percussion instruments) It was a great night, a packed house and a killer experience for all involved!
We have been having each musician play 2 songs then rotate, this has proved to be very effective for the crowds enjoyment/involvement as well as less stress on the musician. This also allow musicians who maybe only have a few songs or maybe just one song, also for the musician who has something new they're wanting trying out.
Any and all genres welcome. All are welcome here. :)
We also encourage local bands, spoken word artists, rappers, hip hop artists, etc.. to bring in CD's for us to play this night too.
As well as local photographers, artists, writers, and videographers to bring in their work or contact the email address below about showcasing some of your work in the bar.

I am a bartender at Kickers Corner and the creator of "Dip 'N' Jam" music night. I myself am a musician and just had to find a way to bring it into my work!
