Maybe your pupil gets A's and B's in other subjects, but seems to hit a wall in mathematics. Perhaps they do well on assignments, but can't seem to translate that hard work into great test scores. Maybe they are frustrated and anxious in regards to mathematics. Or they've fallen behind and can not seem to catch up. If so, a routine tutoring regimen is normally the perfect alternative. I work one-on-one with students, normally on a once or twice-per-week basis. I review assignments to ensure it is finished. We then work through areas the student might be having trouble comprehending. We spend some time considering topics which are coming up in the week ahead so the student has some familiarity of material that's discussed in class. Finally, we review any test training materials so the pupil can perform crisply and confidently on any forthcoming quizzes or tests.
