Student Organizer(s)

Tulane University has a truly awesome history and heritage, both related to the Confederate States of America in particular and to the Antebellum, Reconstruction, and Old South (1865-1970) generally.

I am worried that the Tulane student body is forgetting this heritage---so I want to sponsor a student group dedicated to the Confederate and Old South heritage of Tulane University, and New Orleans as a whole, at this time when New Orleans' Southern and Confederate Heritage are so very much under attack.

I am looking for students (Tulane & Loyola, but also UNO) willing to form ONE OR MORE privately subsidized student organizations on Tulane and other Campuses for the purpose of preserving and promoting Southern Cultural Heritage and Historically Accurate Understanding of the South and its Political and Social Culture. ALL EXPENSES PAID (this is not a salaried position, but the fringe benefits will be good, I promise).

How many Tulane students realize that Paul Tulane was one of the key financial backers of "the Lost Cause" and of the Confederate War Effort? How many realize that Randall Lee Gibson (as in "Gibson Hall") was a Confederate General, or that both Howard and Tilton were important during and after the War in the formation of the Old South in New Orleans?

The Tulane Faculty is largely left-leaning---the student body may be also. So, I want to sponsor a group that will promote the Honor and Integrity of the South at Tulane University and in New Orleans generally---I need students willing to get active on campus doing this.

I will bring speakers and sponsor events out of my own pocket, but I'm not going to go onto campus (even as an alum) trying to make this happen without a core of student promoters---can I find one or a dozen students interested in Tulane's great historical heritage? If so, contact me here... And yes, I'm dead serious about this....

I attended a meeting recently at the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and it seems that the Tulane University Faculty is uniformly lined up in favor of the Brave New World interpretation of history and against the heritage of the South---against Paul Tulane's legacy and against the TRUTH about what the so-called "American Civil War" was really fought over.....

I graduated from Tulane University 35 years ago. I was politically active as the Second President of College Republicans and founder of a (short-lived) Chapter of Young Americans for Freedom (now known as "Young Americans for Liberty"). I see that Tulane College Republicans are still active but I don't think there is a YAL chapter on-line.

The organization I envision would be Cultural and Historical with a strong political bias in favor of the Southern and Confederate Heritage. New Orleans really is "the Heart and Soul of Dixie"---and it would be a shame if people ever lose sight of that fundamental reality. The organization I envision will be a great social and cultural center for Conservative students who support Traditional Judeo-Christian and American Constitutional Values!

But it would also become a great Tulane Institution--- I guarantee support for the students who will make it possible to realize my vision.
