Caitlyn's mouth was taped shut by a man in North Charleston, SC. The man, William Leonard Dodson, laughed about it to Caitlyn's former owner. Her muzzle was clamped so tightly with electrical tape that her tongue turned black.

A woman sold Caitlyn (originally named Diamond) to Dodson on May 25, 2015 for $20 (a small rehoming fee to ensure a good home). The next night, Dodson told the woman he taped Caitlyn's mouth shut because he was tired of her barking, and that the dog got loose from her chain. Caitlyn was found the next day in the Chicora neighborhood in North Charleston. Thankfully, Caitlyn is making progress and is on her way to recovery.

Please don't advertise your pets on Craigslist. There are other avenues to rehome your pet. Contact a rescue or a shelter before Craigslist because not even a rehoming fee will guarantee your pet's safety.
