I Started in this back in 1975 as a 20 year old apprentice and I have been doing it ever since.
I reached true Journeyman status back in 1978 only after successfully completing an old school Union apprenticeship working with a real master finisher on every conceivable type of drywall project so you will have an experienced pro in me that is not learning at your expense. I am fully familiar with the correct restoration finish styles from 1900's Victorian lath and plaster repairs to 20s - 40s styles, 1960s - 1970s style finish [ skip trowel] threw 80s - 90 variations of [ spray on textures ] to modern smooth wall finish, as well as old world style finish . What ever your home I can seamlessly match new to old so it looks original again and not an after thought patched up quickly slapped together that shows. Doing a job right will yeald good results.
