My wife and I are both teachers nearing retirement and are fortunate to have 3 super nice vacation homes in great locations. We are looking for future week or 2 long swaps in beautiful rustic places up in the mountains, beaches, Europe, Cental/South america. They don't need to be simultaneous. In fact, we probably won't be able to stay at your place this year. The times that will be available for our places are as follows:
Our cabin: April/May/1st 2 wks of June/ August-Dec 19(excluding Holidays) Our Pine Island homes: July-Dec 19th (excluding Holidays)

We manage and clean our Pine Island vacation rentals so you can be assured they will be taken care of. We have had lot's of great swaps and have never had issues. Hawaii, Costa Rica, Montana, Colorado, Keys, Georgia, and Florida! We love adventure!

Our log home is located between Blairsville and Blue Ridge Georgia about 1 mile from a great Trout and kayaking stream called the Toccoa river. It's a true log home with no drywall. It's at the top of the ridge of a highly desired cabin development called heatherwood. It's very private, peaceful and backs up to the national forest. It has 3 bedrooms(2 queens and a king) and a loft. There are 2 full bathrooms, 4 decks(2 screened in),4 porch swings, stainless steel appliances, 2 fireplaces, and wifi with 2 LED televisions. We have mountain bikes and kayaks free to use. We see deer all of the time with the occasional bear. It's 45 minutes to the famous white water rafting on the ochoee river. The place rocks!

We have 2 homes on Pine Island Florida. Pine Island is located in Southwest Florida parallel to Sanibel, Captiva, North Captiva, and Cayo Costa Islands. It is a fishing and boating mecca that hasn't really changed in over 50 years due to it's strict development restrictions (thank goodness!) There's no beaches on the island as it is surrounded by mangroves. You boat to the unspoiled island beaches and passes where there is great fishing and shelling! It is populated by fishermen(both recreational and commercial), retirees, environmentalists, artists, and palm and fruit tree growers. There is a community center with a heated lap pool and lighted tennis courts. There is also a golf course, a bike path and many hiking trails throughout the island. This island is quaint and rustic with no traffic lights. Great seafood restaurant/bars with great local bands. The town of Matlacha is close by with all of its unique art galleries. It is truly a secret paradise for those who love salty livin!
We have a house on each end of the island both on canals very close to the gulf! Both houses have incredible boating/fishing/beaching minutes away, central air conditioning , screened in decks, directv, and WIFI. We live 25 minutes from both houses.

Our house on the South end(St James City) is located on the Monroe canal minutes away from Pine Island Sound with Sanibel Island Beaches only 18 minutes by boat.

Our house on the North End (Bokeelia) is at the end of the road on a canal and located right near Jug creek and minutes to the gulf, 25 min boat ride to Cayo Costa, cabbage key and world famous tarpon fishing at Boca Grande Pass.

There are kayaks, bikes, and fishing rods free to use at both places. I have a hurricane deck boat, skiffs, and center counsel bay boats that are available to rent at a discounted price.
