USCG

finders keepers, losers weepers (not always). THIS IS MY SECOND AND LAST ATTEMPT TO
LOCATE THE RIGHTFUL OWNER OF A GREEN DUFFLE BAG THAT CONTAINS APPAREL THAT APPEARS TO BELONG TO A MEMBER OF THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD.

Somewhere out there is a member of the USCG who has lost his or her duffle bag containing attire that seems more suited for colder climates than what we have this time of year in the deep south. I'm the finder, wanting to do the right thing, and locate the rightful owner of my recent find. I am not seeking an a-ward or a re-ward; what I seek is to find the USCG service member who can correctly identify my find so that he or she can reunite with their misplaced, lost, or stolen ward-robe that was found on the shoulder of I-10 in New Orleans in the early morning of Friday, 5/29/15. All items found, including the plain looking duffle bag, are tagged with a permanent marker displaying no ones name, but only a letter/number code that means nothing to me. I suspect the code is the owner's initials and the last four digits of their SS#.

If you are a member of the USCG and reading this post, please share this posting with other USCG service members. I am waiting for the owner to simply reply to this posting and tell me the code that matches what I have found, and I will make certain that the bag and all of its contents are returned. If you are in the USCG, please circulate this posting up the chain of command and to all of your CG buddies so that I may do what is right. If you know someone in the USCG in the New Orleans area, please share this posting with them. I will leave this posting active until such time the find is claimed by the rightful owner - that being the person who will reveal to me the letter/number code written in or on the items found. Posted late Friday @midnight 5/30/15. UPDATED 6/23
