Soldiers' Angels is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, their families and a growing veteran population. Thousands of Soldiers' Angels 'Angel' volunteers assist veterans, wounded, deployed personnel, and their families in a variety of unique and effective ways. Our Veteran Support team is actively seeking a VAVS (Veteran's Administration Voluntary Service) Representative for the Hines VA, as well as Deputy Representatives at Hines VA, Jesse Brown VA, and the Cpt James A Lovell FHCC at North Chicago.

Duties for the VA Rep include:
â€¢ Recruit volunteers
â€¢ Coordinate the volunteer resources of Soldiers' Angels and all aspects of their participation in the VAVS program at the medical center
â€¢ Plan special events
â€¢ Coordinate the distribution of goods and services
â€¢ Interpret Soldiers' Angels policies and procedures to VAVS committee and appropriate VA staff
â€¢ Establish procedures for keeping Soldiers' Angels donors and supporters informed of ongoing medical center programs and needs.
â€¢ The VA Rep position requires a time commitment of 10-15 hours per week.
The Deputy assists the VA Rep with these duties.
