National Parts Locator Service (NPLS) has been in business for over 3 decades locating hard to find parts, accessories, literature, etc. for antique, classic, automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles. In 1995, we started the Utah Car Club Girls (UCCG), working with women models because the owners' of these fine vehicles wanted models to pose with them, like you see in the magazines. At one time, we had models traveling out of state on a regular basis to pose with antiques in vintage clothes, in bikinis with muscle cars and motorcycles.
If diamonds are a woman's best friends, cars are certainly mens.
But now times are tough. We want to give photographers and models a break in cost and a chance to expand your portfolios. You will get a chance to work with models, who will help you do exactly that, in great locations. Your portfolio could have images of a beautiful woman with a sunset, playing on the beach, a live pinup with a war bird or helicopter, melting into the beauty of a waterfall, a beautiful mirage at the Salt Flats, au natural with the Mountain, sensuality with the Desert, peace at a Lake/Pond, the complexity of a Scrapyard, the art of a chopper motorcycle, the design of an antique or classic car, softness of a botanical garden, the colors of a park, dressed in vintage clothes with a train, and more. All outdoors. In the future, we are hoping to have access to indoor studios.
Each photographer will be expected to pay a shooting fee. The fees will range from $20-$100, for each meet. You only pay for the meet you plan on attending. Your fee pays the model, permits, owner of cars, etc. You should include your telephone number, every time we talk, so we can give you proper credit, and tell you of any last minute changes. You can pay by credit card.
HOW IT WORKS:
We will send you photos of 2-4 models, and the date, time, subject (classic car, sunset, etc.) and fee. If you are interested, you will pay the fee within 7 days of the announcement. By calling us and giving us your credit card number or by mail.
After we have received the fee, we will share with you the location, and all the other particulars. The ideal ratio is 2:1. 2 Photographers to 1 Model.
Considering the value of the Meet, we want the Photographers and the Models to sign Model Releases. The Model Release allows the Photographer to use any photos for your portfolios, and you promise to send a CD to the models of any images you take that day. This seems fair, all things considered.
The photographers will be split into even groups and assigned to a model. Each model will be setup at a different station. At regular intervals, photographers will trade places and models will change outfits. And change stations again, so we get the best possible combination.
Please be considerate of others and do not "hog" the models. Let's all have some fun and create some great shots! Help each other out, if you see someone struggling.
