WHERE: Greenville, Maine 04441 (84 miles/1.5 hours NW of Bangor)
WHEN: One day in early June
WHAT: Outdoor landscape photography and/or videography of forests and clearcuts from industrial forestry.
BACKGROUND: We are a non-profit environmental organization interested in documenting the destruction of Maine's forests. We seek a professional photographer and/or videographer to document massive clearcuts out in the woods. The photographer and/or videographer would accompany a small team of people traveling into the forest areas around Moosehead Lake.
We require full rights to the images (e.g., unlimited, in perpetuity) for use online/digital media (website, blog, email, etc.) and for print, so we would like all the images in raw format.
Compensation:
As a non-profit organization that campaigns to protect the environment, we have an extremely limited budget and are only able to offer modest compensation for this gig. We prefer a professional, but accept that we might have to settle for an amateur. If you are interested in providing high-quality, low cost professional photography or videography services to a good cause, please contact us to discuss what you need to make it work. We respect the time and expense involved in becoming a professional photographer. We believe professionals should be fairly and appropriately compensated for their time. That said, photographers and videographers have traditionally been great supporters of social change movements. Ideally, we are looking for professional photographers and videographers who are willing to donate their time to the cause. Contact me and let's negotiate terms.
