MOVERS WARNING BEWARE - Empty 26ft box truck from FL to NYC, PA, OH, Atlanta and back to FL
This is not a scam. These guys will load your stuff, and a lot of it you will never see again. Many boxes of mine we're missing. AND I inherited other peoples boxes in he process. When I called them a 1/2 hour after hey left to inform them they gave me other peoples furniture and boxes-the response I got was, "I'll call you back after I speak with my partner". Never heard from them again. As I started opening boxes I realized I got a lot of other peoples stuff-and plenty of mine was missing.
Also-what you will see is your stuff DESROYED, as you unwrap/open it! The amount of damage these so called, "Professional Movers" did to my stuff was astronomical. Busted lamps/lampshades, properly wrapped pictures-both frames and glass shattered, valuable/old Christmas decorations-broken, missing all tops to my pots, 1/2 of my dishes/bowls-MISSING! her is more, way more.
These guys post on CL, and attract unsuspecting folks that are moving, then they rent a truck. They proceed to load your stuff, then go to the next persons house and load their stuff, and so on. They ultimately have to load and unload your belongings as they go on their merry way. In the process they obviously manhandle, miss-label, throw, and show absolutely no regard for your belongings. My well packed boxes were destroyed-and they purchased plastic bins to repack my stuff and charged me for the bins.
I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR FURNIURE AND BELONGINGS. I USED THEM AND AM VERY, VERY, SORRY I DID!
DO NOT LEARN THE HARD WAY LIKE I DID.....
UPDATE: Since listing this post, six other people replied and their experience was much worse. Together, we are taking action against John Boston Hill and Darius Jefferson. If you have been scammed, robbed, or are a victim by way of destroyed property or goods - please reply to get interviewed by the Sheriff and the Florida Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services, Division of Consumer.
