Guilty parties keep removing our warnings but its real ,there are several young young men and women working with them taking free kittens and feeding them to snakes or using for target practice or worse . Also people taking any free animal and using for bait in dog fighting or selling to labs for cash . Recently three eight wk old kittens were thrown off an overpass , 2 were killed , this is what they might do with free kittens . There are animal hoarders who seem very nice who have animals living in horrific conditions . Please check people out thoroughly ask who their vet is and call the vet to ask about them ask for valid ID and deliver pet yourself to address on that ID because hoarders wont let you see their house . Please make sure the animal doesn't go to its death , there are good homes you just have to be careful ,if you have a bad feeling about a person don't adopt to them .Ask for a small rehoming fee of at least $35 to deter them . There is a free and $10 spay neuter program in Jefferson Parish called Fix a Feline, go online for info about participating Vets please get all cats and kittens fixed before adopting out . If you live in New Orleans you can go to the Westbank SPCA and get ferals done for $10 and owned cats for $20 . Please get all cats fixed before finding a new home .
