Water at Work Consulting for Public Water System Owners (Midtown) hide this posting unhide

QR Code Link to This Post Are you a Public Water System (PWS) owner operating in the State of Alaska? Do you have an Enhanced Sanitary Survey due by December 31st? Have you received Notices of Violations for missed coliform sampling? Have you ever had to deal with Boil Water Notices or positive coliform results? Are you looking for someone who can explain some of the more complicated aspects of water treatment in plain English? Are you stuck on the Significant Non-compliant List, aka the EPA's "Snick" List? I can help!

Do you own a Community or Non-community water system? Is the population Transient or Non-transient? Do you remember back in the day they were called "Class A" or "Class B" systems. Some lucky folks had "Class C" systems - and things seemed so much simpler then. Well one thing's for sure, owning and/or operating a PWS has become increasingly more complicated, more costly, and much more time-consuming! I can help!

I have over thirty years of comprehensive experience working with all types of water treatment systems and with the regulatory agencies and the regulators that oversee the PWS throughout Alaska. I can help you become fully compliant with current regulations and help you stay fully compliant.

Let me perform your quarterly or monthly required water sampling. Does your PWS require a certified operator? I can do everything in between sampling and operating a system, such as:

Preparing Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs),
Preparing SOC/OOC Waivers,
Writing new Operation and Maintenance Manuals,
Development of Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs),
Priority Measures Plans (PMP) development,
Enhanced Sanitary Surveys (ESS),
Creating RTCR coliform sample site plans,
PWS inspections and evaluations,
Contract operation of any size water treatment and distribution system,
... and good old-fashioned troubleshooting.

My service boundaries for water sampling are limited to the Municipality of Anchorage (from Knik River Bridge, south to Portage). I can perform most other services Statewide, including those Enhanced Sanitary Surveys, but with the looming deadline, I'll only have time to complete two or three if those owners call right away. Remote systems in need of an ESS will have to arrange for my transportation, room and board, along with my hourly rate.

Routine PWS water sampling in Anchorage is billed at a fixed rate after the client sets up an account with SGS Labs, who will then provide me with one year's worth of pre-paid analysis sample bottles for either their quarterly or monthly testing. The total number and type of sample bottles depends on the system classification and the requirements laid out in your annual Monitoring Summary. Systems in the Northern Communities, Eagle River to Eklutna, and those located from Potter Marsh south along Turnagain Arm, are billed more because of the extra distance traveled.

Please feel free to call me for details or to make an appointment for an inspection or consultation. You can also send me an email with your full contact information, your PWSID number, and a brief summary of what kind of problem you are having. Thank you for taking time to read this listing! If you know of a PWS owner in need of my services, I'd appreciate it if you mention my services to...
