Solo musician Joe Farren sings and performs on both acoustic guitar & keyboard. The covers he performs range from the piano styles of Ray Charles and Elton John to the guitar styles of James Taylor and Ed Sheeran.
Joe's wide range of styles and his diverse list of cover songs make him a versatile performer who can please almost any audience and atmosphere. Joe can accommodate a dinner crowd with mellow background music or capture a crowd's attention with his boogie-woogie piano styles and his unique twist on today's top 40 hits.
When it comes to DJing, Joe's positive energy and his ability to read a room is unmatched. Backed by years of experience, he will work with you to create the soundtrack for the happiest day of your life. His sound equipment is state of the art and his music collection is large enough to make any music fan jealous!
Wedding Package:
Ceremony:
Instrumental piano and/or guitar as well as singing any request by bride and groom. Joe is proficient at classical, jazz, and contemporary music. Just let him know what you're looking for.
Cocktail/Dinner Hour:
A contemporary twist on the traditional jazz cocktail set. In addition to the traditional repertoire, Joe plays and sings the classic and contemporary songs of the last fifty years. Hits by the likes of Elton John, Billy Joel, Van Morrison, Michael Buble, James Taylor, Dave Mathews, Ed Sheehan, Zack Brown, etc.
Reception:
Years of performing has provided Joe a comfort level behind the microphone that only experience of that sort can achieve. His EmCee style is very easy going and precise but never overbearing. Joe currently books over 50 weddings a year and has received numerous awards for both his live music and DJ offerings. "Joe is amazing!!!! As soon as I spoke with Joe on the phone before we booked him, I knew I would not have to worry about our choice. From day 1 he was organized, professional, and fun. He has a wonderful packet that helped us, from a Bride and Groom stand point, know what was expected of us to make our music a reflection of what we wanted. He is an insanely talented musician. My husband and I couldn't decide on one song for our first dance and Joe was able to mash two songs together, sing it live, all while we did a choreographed dance routine. Did I mention I told him this this week before the wedding? Joe didn't miss a beat. He sang, played piano and guitar during cocktail hour and dinner and then switched to a master DJ for dancing! He respected our do not play list and read the crowd perfectly. He can also provide up-lighting which provided a romantic touch to the room. Honestly I can't say enough good about Joe. He is the exact type of personality your want running your wedding. Joe is a class act and the best of both worlds when it comes to live music and DJ. We could not have been happier and so many guests commented on how much they enjoyed him. If you are on the fence, don't be...Joe is a hidden gem and we would choose him over and over again! :)

"Joe was the perfect wedding D.J. and musician!! The music for my ceremony and reception was something I was very passionate about from the beginning and Joe helped make the music for both straight out of my dreams. He was 100% available throughout the entire wedding planning process and always got back to me in a timely manner. He was so flexible and patient when I wanted to change specific songs. A few weeks before the wedding he set up a phone conversation where he made sure everything was in order and that he was pronouncing everybody's names right. I felt at ease with him there the day of! He learned and played three specific songs I had picked for our prelude/ceremony and it was beautiful! As a D.J. he played all of the songs I had requested and also took requests from the crowd. He kept our guests dancing the entire night and they raved about him. I would recommend Joe as a musician or D.J. to anybody and am so grateful that we found him!
