I have truly enjoyed training children and adults, beginners with little or no musical background. Experienced students can direct me to focus training on their specific desires, such as learning to play various rhythms to different time signatures, or help them enhance their drum-fills ability, or ability to orchestrate solo's. They may only want to invest in a limited amount of classes that provide them with what they want to focus on learning.
If you or your child finds music and particularly a groovy rhythm fascinating, maybe it is time for you to see if you can develop a talent that can bring many hours of enjoyment to your life. All instruments require the development of various forms of skill sets. Obviously the ability to play drums requires independent hand and leg coordination. My passion in music starts with jazz and I am a member of a quartet and a trio that performs locally. That would mean that I should be adept at using bushes as well as sticks. However, what and how I teach can be applied to all genres of music. So the style of music we concentrate on could be Country, Rock, Pop, Latin, Funk, Blues, Smooth and Traditional Jazz, etc. The student's preference of training is always a priority. If you are a beginner looking for a long term trai be best suited to accomplish your goals. If you don't call me back, I understand that you are considering other options. Classes are located at my home studio in the north end of Keller TX 76262 is my recommended option. Two drums sets make for more efficient use of class time as I at times demonstrate on one set while a student can play along on the other. As part of the process, a sound system provides the opportunity for me to coach you while a student plays along to CD's. I encourage a student to provide me with some of their favorite songs and artists, but certainly will diind a better price for one hour lessons. Some adds don't even indicate the pricing. Check out some local studios pricing for which you will be paying the price for the instructor plus that of the studio as they are in it for a profit and have to pay the rent. I am also presently teaching at a local studio, so you could pay more for my services there. Studios are typically not totally sound proof so sound from other students lessons can be a nuisance to your own lesson. Studio's typically only have one drum set in a room. I have two in my home studio so the ability to demonstrate can take place without the student moving off of a drum set. The student will also have the abi. I also encourage parents to try and learn as well and provide them sticks and drum pad to use while they are in the class. Some parents love this approach.
Other considerations:
Contemplating buying a drum set? Might want to talk to someone that has no benefit in selling you something about pros, and cons of electric versus acoustic sets? What should you consider for size and set up reasons and functionality?
During lesson time, we can keep the volume down with the use of the electric set.

I will consider lessons at your home dependent on location. That option provides convenience to the client, but naturally it will be more costly as I would have to be reimbursed somewhat for my time and travel expenses. This option is worth considering if your own time and transportation costs are more valuable to you verst might be concerned about, keep in mind it might also be an indication of the effort I put forth demonstrating and detailing the leaning process.
