Working with disabled children in a Rehabilitation Centre (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

The Centre for Rehabilitation of Disabled Children in Ho Chi Minh City offers treatment to both adults and children. The center was started as a physio project, with the aim of providing rehabilitation for all paralysed children in South Vietnam. The centre was then established in 1983, and in conjunction with many humane societies across the world has provided free health care to thousands of Vietnamese children. It provides rehabilitation treatment to adults & children who are usually referred here by their doctor or other hospitals.

Volunteers will spend most of their time in the day-care room working with disabled children. Volunteers also are expected to help with some other manual work such as cleaning, painting or renovation of children's rooms.
