New publication looking for aspiring writers of any age or genetic makeup who like:
- Hiking, backpacking, camping, etc...
- Gardening / animal care
- DIY projects (geared more towards self sufficiency)
- Social issues / environmental issues
- Reviews
- Other?? (please describe in email)
This is not a paid position. There is no pressure and there are no deadlines. It is an opportunity to have fun and flourish as a writer while growing with a network of people who enjoy giving back to the community.
As a writer / journalist for us you will have the leisure of working from home or wherever you want to explore. Publishing and exposure will be determined by the writing you produce (mainly by how interesting the content is), you will have access to an editor so don't fret the final piece.
If you would like to write for this publication, please send an email including the following information:
- Any resume or portfolio you may have (NOT necessary, just helpful).
- You're interests and aspirations as a writer, and then a bit about what you hope to gain from this experience if given the opportunity to write for us.
- Your location and locations you will have the chance to travel to.
- Can you provide your own pictures or would you need to find a photojournalist partner?
- Please provide a summary of you're anticipated level of involvement (ex. 20 hours a week, 2 articles a month, etc...).
- Also include any additional information you feel would be good for us to know. (Awards, disabilities, skills, etc...)
Again this is a voluntary, no experience needed, writing gig. Details about the publication and your part in it will be disclosed once we begin talking.
